Salomon project # 16: Background Research
The project outline says “What the company wants is a creative tag that outlines the technologies.” After checking the Salomon website page on “technologies,” I learned that the one technology which Salomon claims is “unique” to their company is the “Energyzer” cuff. To quote Salomon, “The ‘releasable’ option on certain skates allows skaters to choose their flex according to their level . . .” It is adjustable. I checked the K2 website at http://www.k2skate.com/technology/default.asp?techid=9 K2 has five different types of cuffs, but none of them is adjustable. I also checked Nike, Mission, and CCM, and Rollerblade websites and they don’t have an adjustable cuff either.

Since the adjustable cuff is unique to Salomon, I think it is worth putting on the front page of our “technology product tag.”
